We are delighted to launch this website with information on the 2010 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) of the Society of Occupational Medicine (SOM)

With weeks to go now before the 2010 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Society of Occupational Medicine, it is very clear indeed that this has proved a very popular Conference!

We are certainly on course for an excellent few days of education and enjoyment in Edinburgh.  If you have yet to register, I would urge you to do so as soon as possible, in order to ensure that your bookings are in place.  Please have a look around this website for all the information that you need and contact our Secretariat if you have any queries.

Our aim was to attract as many colleagues as possible to Edinburgh to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Society.  It seems that our colleagues are keen to join us and we very much look forward to seeing you in all for what will be a wonderful Annual Scientific Meeting.

ANHOPS AGM

This will take place on Tuesday 8th June from 8am to 9am at The Assembly Rooms

Exhibition

An exhibition of occupational health equipment and services is organised in association with the Conference and further information can be obtained here and the Booking Form is here.

 The Exhibition area will include the catering points, so Exhibitors will have the opportunity for good contact with participants.  This year, interest from companies and organisations is high, so we urge you to book early to obtain your preferred location of stand?.

Delegate Bags

This Conference is keen to reduce its carbon footprint, not least through cutting down on wastage.

We are aware that these days many delegates do not need or wish to have a delegate bag (which becomes “another spare bag”), so we are asking delegates to book their bag when they register.

Our aim is to give a donation to a suitable environmental charity in lieu of producing bags for all delegates, depending upon the response.

The delegate bag  inserts will be available to all delegates during the Conference, whether or not they have booked a bag.

Call for Abstracts

The Call for Abstracts has now closed and all results have been issued.  If for any reason you have not received your abstract result, please contact the Conference Secretariat at

The Committee was very pleased with the response to the Call for Abstracts which yielded the highest number of abstracts for some years
