11th International Paediatric Haematology
and Oncology Update Meeting
23RD AND 24TH OCTOBER 2008
In 2006 we staged the 10th Update Meeting in this Series. That Conference marked a very special celebration of the development and longevity of this important Series of Meetings. The 2006 Conference was also another superb meeting in its own right: bringing together top-quality international speakers for two days of education and networking. The feedback from all participants was again excellent.
By popular demand the Series continues and I invite you to join us in Edinburgh for the 11th Update Meeting. Because of other relevant Meetings, we have changed from the Spring to the Autumn, so please take particular note of the dates of this Meeting - Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th October.
We are again asking for participants to submit material for poster presentation by way of the Call for Abstracts and as you will see from the programme, we have formulated another wonderful faculty of speakers to come and share
with us their research and knowledge. The early response that we have had to this programme is that it includes highly relevant and interesting themes to be delivered by key experts, so it again marks a very valuable opportunity for the relevant professionals involved in paediatric haematology and oncology.
So, we invite you to note the dates of IPHOUM 2008 in your diary and begin planning the material to submit in response to our Call for Abstracts. Do remember to register early for the Conference in order to take advantage of the lower Early Registration Fee. The easiest way to register (and obtain an invoice) will be via the on-line Registration system.
My colleagues of the Organising Committee and I very much look forward to seeing you in Edinburgh in Autumn 2008. Edinburgh is lovely at any time of the year.

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
CPD accreditation has been applied for via the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. A total of around 13 credits is usually available via this Meeting. The total will be confirmed on the Conference website as soon as the result of the application is known. Certificates of Attendance will be available at the Conference.
