Social Programme
Monday 12th April 2010
Welcome Reception at Kents Cavern – 7.15pm
The Ice Age home of Britain’s earliest humans, Kents Cavern are some of the most famous prehistoric caves in the world. Now set out as a tourist attraction, visiting Kents Cavern enables you to safely (and dryly!) enjoy and marvel at the only underground visitor centre recognised by UNESCO.
Guides will take you through the caves, giving a little background along the way.
This is an unusual venue for a reception but we didn’t want you to miss the opportunity to see this very special “venue” in Torquay. It will be a very interesting way to start the social programme for the Conference and for delegates to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Delegates will receive drinks and a tour of the caves.
Please book your ticket at the time of registering. Tickets are complimentary but must be pre-booked and blank responses will not be allocated tickets.
Transport will be provided from the centre of Torquay. Please wear flat shoes for this event!
Tuesday 13th April 2010
Black Tie Gala Dinner and Dance – 8pm
In the Rosetor Suite, Riviera International Conference Centre
A highlight of the conference is the UKCS Gala Dinner and Dance, when all the specialities get together along with the exhibitors and sponsors for a great networking evening! A drinks reception is followed by dinner, entertainment and of course dancing to a live band.
The social events at UKCS Conferences are always popular and fun and this year will be no exception. The dress code for the event is Black Tie based upon popular demand, so we look forward to seeing participants in their glad-rags!
Please book your ticket at the time of registering. Tickets are complimentary but must be pre-booked and blank responses will not be allocated tickets. Your guests are welcome too: ticket cost of £50 applies.
Please note that we are not able to refund cancelled Gala Dinner and Dance tickets.
