Invitation from the SWOGS 2010 Chairman

On behalf of my colleagues in Cornwall, I invite you to join us for the SWOGS 2010 Conference at The Eden Project on Friday 8th October.

We have put together an interesting programme, featuring top-quality invited speakers on topics including gynaecological cancers, diabetes in obstetrics and laparoscopic surgery.  There are sessions set aside for undergraduate and post-graduate presentations, as well as a presentation from a member of The Eden Project team who will explain to us a little about the development and impact of The Project.  Our venue also offers us space for posters to be presented, adding to the educational value of the Conference.  Please click here for the Call for Abstracts(pdf) and here for the Conference Programme.

Eden ProjectWe are thrilled to have been able to book The Eden Project as our venue.  The Project welcomes more than a million visitors per year and uses imaginative and unique exhibits to remind visitors of what nature gives to the world and how we should look after it in return.  This is a must-see venue as well as one which – because of its scale and changing exhibits – can be re-visited over and over again.

On the evening of Friday 8th October we will hold a black tie dinner in the Mediterranean Biome at The Eden Project.  This will be a unique experience and will enable us to have a barbeque-style meal in October!  The Biomes are magical by night and this will be a special evening.

So, with an enticing programme for our speciality and a totally unique and awe-inspiring venue for our Conference and Dinner, how can you resist spending a day – or even a weekend – in lovely Cornwall?  Our Registration Fee includes an entry ticket for each delegate into The Eden Project on Saturday 9th October.  Family tickets can be arranged too.  Please click here for Registration.

Please note the date of the Conference in your diary and begin planning how you may be able to maximise this opportunity for quality education against an internationally-renowned backdrop.
We hope to see you at SWOGS 2010.
