It is with great pleasure that we invite you to Newcastle Gateshead for the 2012 Annual Scientific Meeting. We very much look forward to hosting this key event and to showing you some of our vibrant area.

We have put together a dynamic programme with an excellent line-up of expert speakers. Our main themes include Ageing and Work, Shiftwork , Clinical Updates and Future Developments in Occupational Health. Under our banner "SOM on the Tyne: clearing the fog", our aim is to acknowledge and address some of the challenges which confront us and work towards solutions and best practice. Industries change and problems evolve within society, so the need for us to maintain our focus and knowledge of relevant workplace issues remains as vital as ever.

On-line registration is now open

So we invite you to join us for a few days of top-quality relevant education on the Tyne in our magnificent conference venue: The Sage. Evening networking opportunities have been designed for your enjoyment and interaction with other participants as well as showcasing some of our more remarkable buildings. It promises to be a memorable event.

Newcastle Gateshead is easy to get to and get around, thanks to frequent and integrated transport connections. The Sage, hotels and venues being used for this Conference are all within walking distance of the Railway Station and of each other, making it a very easy event to navigate around, as well as being more "green". If you have any spare time to add on to your trip, don't forget the other attractions nearby: Hadrian's Wall, Durham Cathedral, the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne island , to name but a few.

Do join us – this is an Annual Scientific Meeting not to be missed and we look forward to providing you with a genuine North East welcome !
